It may seem as though I'm dumping all of my Washington photos on my page at this time. And, well I am. As it turns out, I'm moving yet again. This time to the city of Brotherly Love and feel the need to get photos of DC taken and posted before I do so.

See everyone soon!

@Viewfinder: Thanks, Mr. Viewfinder! I'm looking forward to Philly as well. Not only for the photography, but I'm moving closer to NYC, my friends, New Jersey (I use to live there) and my family won't be so far away either.

Good luck on your move ;)
Yes, the light here captivates me too!

@ManuelaR: Thanks so much for stopping by friends! I'm glad you liked this and thanks for the well wishing on the move. I'm excited for Philly. :) This photo was taken when the electricity was out around the Tidal Basin (where the monument and cherry blossoms are located). The only source of light was coming from the traffic on the streets and giant flood lights placed around the basin. So, the Jefferson Monument doesn't normally look so dark, but I'm glad the lighting is well received here, I was a little worried about it, to be honest.

Awesome image, Shrig ... there's a haunting quality about it -- don't believe I've ever seen the D.C. monuments presented in such stark contrast ... but I like it! Congrats on what sounds like a move in the right direction ... ron

Thanks Ron! I've tried to stay away from the traditional photos of the monuments and do something a little different. I hope they aren't too gloomy, but my photos do come out a little darker. Perhaps I just like dark things? Not sure. Anyway, I'm glad that you've liked them so far :) Hope to see you soon!
