Favorite Place in DC

Posted by Shrigley Photography (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States) on 13 November 2008 in Cityscape & Urban.

This is by far my favorite view of DC. This shot is taken from the Lincoln Memorial that is overlooking a reflecting pool, the Washington Monument and the Capital.

However, I'm a little unsure of the shot. It's not one of my best, it's a little grainy and out of focus. I may need to make a few adjustments on my camera.

First favorite tomorrow.
Stay tuned...

Yes, as you've mentioned it, it's a bit blurry and grainy... but there's a lovely light of the obelisq... and the Capitol seems to glow...
Many thanks for your sweet com. ;-)

@Florence: Hi Florence!
Thanks for stopping by! I'm not sure why my photos are coming out less then average. But I'm working on it :) Nice to see you!

This is, indeed, one of the finest views but you are battling with low light here by the looks of it. Bumping the ISO up to 1600 is going to get noisy . . ISO 200 and a tripod would be one answer, maybe ?

i would love to get to DC one day! what a fantastic place! are you liking living there more now?

yeah i agree with Ronnie and his 2 cents - lowering the iso and using a tripod might work better.
