Now & ThenPosted by Shrigley Photography (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States) on 29 September 2007 in People & Portrait. Greetings once again fellow Shutterbugs! Hope your weekend is going well so far. I'm participating in It's Me Day for second installment as inspired by the one and only, Dimitrios (http://dimitrios.aminus3.com/). This is a shot I took yesterday of me, today (or yesterday by the time you read this), as is. My real name is Heather. Shrig (part of my last name) is simply a nickname I acquired in high school when there were far too many "Heathers" around. Someone called me "Shrig" and the name stuck. Feel free to use Heather or Shrig. Shrigster works as well, bronzebilly :) I respond to all of them. The other photo was taken by my grandfather (who was also a shutterbug) when I was about 2-3 years old, I'm guessing. I thought it would be a kick to compare "now and then" photos. Some people change so much over the years that one could hardly tell it was them as a child while others simply stay the same, just age a little as time moves on. Looking at how people change has always been an interesting topic, in my opinion. It was great to see everyone yesterday and I look forward to seeing you again. Thanks for stopping by and leaving comments. This has been quite fun. :)
Please feel free to leave constructive comments (positive, negative, indifferent). I think feedback is one of the most important tools anyone can use when engaged in the learning process. "Be well, do good work and keep in touch."

Yes people do change over time but I can always see the same person in the eyes and in your images the eyes do give you away.
