Upper East Side

Posted by Shrigley Photography (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States) on 2 July 2007 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

Happy Monday!

Can't believe July is here already. Wasn't May yesterday sometime?

Anyway, continuing with the inspiration of Simon, this is a shot of the sky/trees/buildings of the Upper East Side . It is located between Central Park and the East River. Its home to countless movies and stories that we've all saw or read. We've been here quite a few times, and no, not to attend any parties, but the Upper East Side is where most of the consulates are located. So when we (mostly my boyfriend) needs a visa, this is where we have to apply.

It's quite nice. I think its one of the few places one would feel safe, at least more then other places in the city. Besides really expensive shopping and Central Park is the Metropolitan Museum of Art and I think the Museum of Modern Art is in the general area as well. Regardless, if you ever get to the city, be sure to check them out.

Be sure to check back on previous NYC pictures, I've added links that might be of some interest.

Until Tomorrow...

Hi Shrig...thanks for your comment on my last post. I couldn't agree with you more! This inspiration circle is non-judgemental and is indeed inspiring. Like what you did here with this one. The b/w is just spot on! B-)

Hello Shrig, I will comment later on because I don't have time right now, but here's the site where you can find the relaxing cushion chairs in your comment on the "spoiled students' posting:http://www.fatboy.nl/products/

Great stuff Shrig! As requested earlier, here are some of the shots I took while in NYC for my sister's graduation.

What a serene view of NYC with the trees complementing the buildings. Will be perusing your city images with great interest.

This is a beautiful shot and I love how you framed it! And I would love to visit the two museums as well!
