Sunbathing

Day 5 in the Big Apple. Hope you're enjoying the series in NYC inspired by Simon. Thanks to all those who have been stopping by and leaving comments. I'm glad you like it so far. :)

This ..... well, I don't know what this building is. I think it's Midtown, where the Empire State Building is, all that good stuff. It could very well just be an office building of some sorts (for those who do know what it is, I apologize for my ignorance). I took this shot because its a great example of the architecture in New York City. NYC architecture is very straight, blockish, red/brown brick style. Something that you would probably expect from the early days of the city, not a lot of variation, not a lot of color. There are a few interesting buildings in NYC, but it's mostly the detail attention to detail that is most important. For example, The Chrysler Building in NYC in place of the usual monster gargoyles has "car" gargoyles instead. I wish I had a picture of the Chrysler Bldg, but I'm afraid I haven't been close enough to it yet to get the good shot of it.

I have a few more pics of the city to put up before we move on.

Have a great weekend!

Until Tomorrow...
