Just going down the road a bit we come across Times Square. You probably know that this is where the big ball is dropped every year for New Years.
I remember the first time that I saw Times Square and I can honestly tell you, I wasn't that impressed.
Now, that isn't to say that it's a totally disappointing moment and one should never see Times Square. That's really not the case at all. It's a place of history, tons of shops and is "cool" to look at. But, in my personal opinion, it's overrated.
And to be totally honest with you, I'm more of a Central Park kinda girl. Grab a cup of coffee with a friend sit and people/horse/jogger/chipmunk watch. I've even got a favorite bench :P

Wow...love how this low light shot came out, Shrig! Agree with you that it is probably more relaxing to sit back in a coffee shop, enjoying a novel, or chatting with a friend...or even p-blogging if you happen to have wifi @ your coffee shop. lol. B-)

hear hear! i agree with all 3 of you lolz! (not being very original here) so much details around. i like this capture, find it quite post-cardish.. theres so much activity going on, cars moving, people walking, and all the lights and giant tvs! is this the essence, the true face of NYC? lolz, wished i was there.. and hey chum, u got another idea to explore alreadi. perhaps u can do a tribute series to the network (the trains) that keeps the city going or something similar. its the vein that keeps NYC running.. i will definitely want to see something like that.. =)

One of my favourite places in the universe, you've captured it's rapid, constant movement beautifully.

A kakophonia of colours, like the city centre itself. Very well captured with wow ISO 1600! Digital is far more flexible than analog, it's proven here again.
