From one city to another, we now visit New York City. This week will be a series of pictures from NYC (thanks to Simon).
I thought I would start off with a classic, the Empire State Building. I took this out of the sunroof of our car while driving by I've been up this building about 3 or 4 times now, I think. Never saw King Kong...I guess he was always on break or making another movie. ;) But I did see the veiw and can say that the price you pay going up is a bit expenisive, but worth it.
I hope that you find the pictures interesting. It truly is a photographers dream...okay, well at least one of them. :P
Until Tomorrow...

@{H} creatives: Hey {H}! Glad you took a moment to stop by! :) It is hard to catch (not to mention update) photos everyday.
I'm glad you liked the first shot- I did want to make it speical.
King Kong called yesterday- sent his apologizes for not being in the photo. He said we'll try to make some arrangements for next time ;) He says Hi!
p.s. o.k. I did manage to sneak a peek at Simon's post as well...guess he finally moved on from the captivating-lady-with-a-rabbit shot...heheh B-)

@kairospix: LOL.
Thanks! I thought the cloud added a little something to the shot.

@ColNed Pictures: Thanks :) It was my dream as well. I've loved NYC before I even got there.
Hope you get there someday too. :)
Well captured Shrig.I'm looking forward to your series I've never been to NYC myself. No King Kong here just a "Sleeping Giant". Your post process is excellent,great work

@Morris J. Chisholm: Thanks! I think everyplace might have a form of King Kong or a sleeping giant. Back home (State College, Pennsylvania) there is a giant cow on top of a restruant. ;) Its too funny.
aye, great start to the series! looking forward to more =) NYC's a really magnificent city, so much going on, can just get lost and drown in all the sights and sounds of the city. more more! haha. i heard traffic's realli bad there, and most of the people take train as their main form of transport. it would be nice if u can show us the train, the system that keeps NYC running.. and people in time for work lolz

@simon: Hey Buddy!
NYC is a fantastic place. I've been there quite a few times and EVERY time I go I still find myself amazed by the sites/sounds/smells/traffic ;) The traffic there is...horrible. I will drive through many places, but NYC is not one of them. I've always taken a train (or someone else has driven). To a certain extent, I don't think its safe for me to drive in the city. I still get too damn excited when I see it.
And I'm so sorry to day, I have no pics of the train/subway. However, the next time I head up there, I'll be sure to catch one and post it. :)
They shot king kong down from the building! So sad. The building looks like as if its on fire...

@Levine: Oh no. King Kong is still alive.. He did the second movie. He's just...busy....I think...B-)
It kind of does look like its on fire, but its not. I can assure you. :)
Nice shot.

Having been here I can appreciate this building completely. I love the cloud capture at the top and the way it hugs the building.
Great composition...
