Atlantic City Boardwalk- Fog and mist included

Posted by Shrigley Photography (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States) on 21 June 2007 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

I've neglected you again. :( I'm so sorry.

Yesterday I took a break from the crazies and spent the night in Atlantic City, New Jersey. A nice little 24 hour break. :)

This is a picture was taken on the boardwalk. The weather was actually bad, thunderstorms were on the menu all night long. This was taken right before hand, the humid and misty air created a really nice night scene and made the lights look very hazy.

Thanks everyone for stopping by and commenting! I'll catch up (again) very soon. I miss seeing your pictures.

Until Tomorrow....

love the mood in this shot - knowing what the AC boardwalk usually looks like I'd say you've captured a unique moment here. Almost looks like some film noir city street.

Nice one!

@Jason Kravitz: Thanks :)

I agree- AC Boardwalk isn't exactly the prettiest place in the world, I think what did help this shot along was the fact that is was so dark and hazy outside, it hides the rough edges of the boardwalk. I'm glad I was able to make it look at least a little bit appealing. :)

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

Very nice capture here. The fog really creates a mood. Every try converting this to B&W?

21 Jun 2007 11:21am

@Bob Israel: Hi! I actually did try it in b&w just before I posted it, I thought it looked cool, but I couldn't resist the color of the signs and the slight tint of blue in the air. But your exactly right, b&w wouldn't have hurt the shot either.

Thanks for stopping by :)
